David Futcher, once known as the “Tallest Mayor in Washington,” stands out as the sole team member with that unique title. Amid expanding his firm, Futcher Group, he dedicated sixteen years to the Kelso city council, including a decade as its mayor. His recent merger with Opsahl Dawson in 2023 aims to provide more focused client support, aiming to decipher business results for more effective management.

In a profession that can be averse to change, David is a fish out of water. Over his career, he’s embraced new technologies and new mindsets to assist his staff and clients, always keeping his core values at the forefront. A balanced life is more than just lip service to David, and he initiated a four-day workweek as the standard in his firm over a decade ago. He believes that every business can be improved by ensuring you’re doing the work you want to do, the way you want to do it, for the customers you want to work with.

Originally from the South, David is an avid fan of the Atlanta Braves. His wife and he have two sons – both of whom are named after former Braves. David believes that life is all about relationships and enjoys hosting friends at his unusual home in a former telephone company building.
