Don started his professional career with Coopers & Lybrand in Portland Oregon as an auditor and business consultant. He received his CPA certificate in 1972. He later went on to become a controller and chief financial officer for a couple of multi-million dollar companies. After those experiences, he decided to become a business owner himself and enjoyed the business world. In 2009 Don joined Opsahl Dawson as a tax accountant and has enjoyed working with the firm and their clients.
Don’s pastime is filled with fly fishing, golfing, bowling and senior softball teams and tournaments. He and his wife Karen, have seven grandchildren and are always coming and going to their sporting events and school activities. He coached youth baseball for 27 years and finally gave it up when his grandchildren out grew him.
