Eric joins Opsahl Dawson with nearly 40 years of experience in public accounting. After graduating from Penn State University and attending the Wharton School of Business, Eric worked in both the business and creative sides of the music industry in Los Angeles, London, and West Africa. Eventually, Eric returned to public accounting, passed the CPA exam, and founded a local CPA firm specializing in small business accounting and tax preparation. He went onto to provide CFO services to private equity ventures, eventually becoming CFO of a large entertainment merchandising company. After later managing the sale of his business, Eric worked as a tax strategist and consultant for businesses and individuals from Hawaii.
Now a resident on the Oregon Coast, Eric enjoys spending his spare time with his son, daughter, and others in his recording studio. As the American jazz and blues pianist Mose Allison wrote, “If I had a million dollars, I’d sit right down and relax. I’d go and buy myself a nightclub and write it off my income tax.”
