James earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting at the University of Alabama and continued on to receive a master’s degree in accounting.  He obtained his CPA license and is licensed in both Alabama and Mississippi.  James has worked with a variety of small and medium size privately held companies, as well as with high net worth individuals in the areas of tax compliance, planning, and consulting. James also has experience with financial statement audits, reviews, and compilations.

Outside of work, James likes going to movie theatres and concerts. He also enjoys attending the University of Alabama football and basketball games and is a season ticket holder.  He is currently an Executive Committee Board Member for the Jefferson County University of Alabama Alumni Chapter in Birmingham.  He is proud of serving as the president in 2015 and helping to raise nearly $120,000 for scholarships that help Jefferson County students attend the University of Alabama.
