Jennifer spent the first 15 years of her tax career at a Big 4 accounting firm in Cincinnati, Ohio focusing on small to medium sized businesses and their individual owners and family members.  She spent the next 10 years at a local firm where she learned the benefits of holistic tax planning – working in tandem with financial and investment advisors to understand and meet each client’s financial goals.  Jennifer joined the CPA Forward team at Opsahl Dawson to continue bringing proactive tax planning services to clients with an understanding of their financial needs and goals.

Jennifer received her bachelor’s degree in accounting at the University of Cincinnati in 1994 and earned her CPA license in Ohio in 1995.  She is currently a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Ohio Society of Certified Public Accountants.

Outside of work, Jennifer enjoys spending time with her husband and college-age son swimming in their backyard pool, hiking around southern Ohio or traveling to see her daughter who lives and works in Denver.  She also enjoys yoga, learning about wine and putting up as many Christmas trees as her husband will tolerate each year.
