Born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, Katie later relocated to Oregon to pursue higher education and begin her career. She has since settled in Northern Nevada to be near her family. 

Katie joined Opsahl Dawson as a remote employee with nine years of experience in public accounting. Her primary focus areas include individual, S corporation, and partnership taxation, with an emphasis on the real estate industry. Katie obtained her master’s degree in accounting from the University of Oregon and has been practicing as a CPA since 2014. 

Katie loves spending time in the outdoors hiking, kayaking and golfing. She is treasurer at her local church and a schoolteacher for the children’s ministry. In her spare time, she also enjoys reading, gardening and photography.
