Kim Quinn, EA

Kim grew up just south of Seattle and attended Western Washington University, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in English. After graduating, she moved to Berkeley to pursue a career in Publishing, which eventually led her to a role in Human Resources. Kim spent eight years in Human Resources, focusing on employee compensation across various industries, including publishing, pet healthcare, and casinos. In 2008, she transitioned to public accounting, and in 2021, she became an Enrolled Agent.

Her first 12 years in public accounting were with a California-based firm, where she developed a passion for Trust and Estate taxation. Since 2020, Kim has been working with Washington-based firms, concentrating on independent business clients, their individual tax returns, estate taxation, and tax planning.

In addition to her English degree, Kim completed methods, theory, and studio courses for an endorsement to teach art. She has applied these skills by teaching and volunteering in her children’s schools, Girl Scout camps, PTAs, and mentoring and training tax interns and staff. She has also started her master’s in taxation at Golden Gate University.

Outside of work, Kim enjoys spending time with her family and two dogs. She has a love for movies, reading, and creating art, and living in Bellingham provides many opportunities to share these interests with family and friends. A passionate traveler, Kim is always planning her next adventure.
