Laura Black, EA
Laura grew up in Montana and earned her associate’s degree in accounting from Montana State University in 2006. She became an Enrolled Agent in 2013. After living in Lacey, WA for ten years, she moved to Idaho three years ago to be closer to her family. With 21 years of experience in public accounting, Laura has worked in a smaller firm environment, mastering everything from the basics of accounting and payroll to providing CFO services, preparing compilations, and handling tax preparation for individual and business tax returns, including estate and trust returns.
As a problem solver, Laura enjoys helping businesses improve their accounting procedures and providing tax planning so they can focus on growth and profitability. She is excited to work with a growing firm and expand her knowledge with Opsahl Dawson.
Outside the office, Laura loves spending time with her family and her two dogs, camping and riding their 4-wheelers in the mountains. Her second love is reading, and she often enjoys sitting outside with a book, accompanied by her dogs and two cats.
