Mary Philipps, CPA, PFS
Mary grew up in Yorktown, VA where the colonies fought their last battle against the British for victory. She attended James Madison University where she received her bachelor’s degree in accounting as well as her master’s degree with a concentration in tax. Mary is not one for procrastination, so immediately following graduation she took and passed all four parts of the CPA before moving to Charlotte, NC to begin her career in taxation. She primarily works with individuals, partnerships, S corps, and small C corps.
Outside of work you will find Mary spending time with her husband and two dogs, volunteering at church or the Pyrenees rescue, and exercising. She and her husband share a dream of operating a nonprofit animal rescue in the more rural part of NC when they retire. Mary’s parents met at Montana Tech, so even though she lives on the east coast, most of her extended family lives in MT, CA, and WA which has resulted in many fun family trips to the west coast over the years.
