Michelle grew up near Columbia, South Carolina and continues to live in the area.  She attended the University of South Carolina and obtained her bachelor’s degree in accounting and master’s degree with a concentration in tax.  Upon graduation, Michelle began working for a small local CPA firm and obtained her CPA license.

Michelle has over 15 years of tax experience with various types of taxes, although over her career she has developed a specialty in small family-owned businesses and individual taxation.  She also has gained experience with trust and estate work. She is currently a member of the South Carolina Association of CPAs where she develops class schedules for other CPAs throughout the state.

Outside of work, Michelle enjoys spending time with her husband and her son swimming in their pool, taking trips to the beach or staying at home and relaxing.  She also enjoys reading and gardening.
